I just heard about this and saw the trailer this weekend.
I've knew we've talked about Tool and Maynard's wine here before so I'm glad I filtered it and didn't receive the timeline.Has anyone actually tasted his wines? I'm seriously considering purchasing a few bottles. Seems over priced just cause he knows his fans will buy it.

Haha, I heard about this on Metalsucks. Who cares about the wine though when you have it has dudes like Bob Odenkirk, Patton Oswalt and Eric! (ok, and the tool dude and that pretty hot chick)

this is finally up on Netflix and I watched last night.
I would consider myself a pretty big TOOL fan but I don't have related ink on my body to show it and only considered naming my son Maynard as a joke. I have never tried his wines but this documentary was really lame. His partner seemed really cool and interesting but Maynard just came out looking like a sarcastic brat, except when talking about his mother, Judith.
All in all it could have been much better and I'm still really curious about tasting his wine.

@fooler2,
Really? I thought it was pretty entertaining. I think there are some funny parts with the Tim and Eric mock-interviews. I also thought Maynard had some great dead-pan humor.
I know he's not known to be the most socially graceful of frontmen but i didn't think he was acting like a 'sarcastic brat'.
For the record I do not worship the ground he walks on... if i was to worship any of the band members it would be Danny Carey.
- <--- totally. Especially the bit about worshiping Danny Carey. That guy has some serious chops.DRIFTMONKEY
- yes the drummer is insanely great, but they all need tool to be awesome. look how bad pusifer and Pigmy Love Circus suckfooler2

they could use some design help and a lighter hand on the light leaks / after effects stuff. kinda looking like a video co-pilot tutorial.
- fooler20
I actually hated the Tim and Eric parts the most
- no sense of humor, eh?d_rek
- This, I don't get at all. Tim and Eric bits were best parts, IMO.DRIFTMONKEY
- if dry, predictable, amateur jokes are your definition of humor than I guess so.fooler2

That's how he is. He's a nomadic, misanthropic smartass. And understandably so, just look around you.

A few friends and I split a case of Caduceus WIne. I only got a bottle of 2007 NAGA and 2008 ANUBIS.
The NAGA tasted like crap, I've had $6.99 box wine that tasted better.
The ANUBIS was much better and I would probably buy that one again but at $40 a bottle I'd rather have a decent bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir at half the price.
