as much as i love tool, and as much as i love wine, there doesnt seem to be enough here to make a movie out of.

i love tool as much (or more) as the next guy, but this looks like two hours of the most boring, overblown, self-important marketing i've ever seen
- yeah watching this new trailer made me think it was just a 2 hr commercial.fooler2

as much as I love tool.... TIMELINE!

the only people who are going to watch this are rabid maynard fans, and they already know about and drink his wine.
the only remaining reasons for him to make this is
1. to catch the attention of the wine aficionado demographic who still don't take him seriously,
2. or to stroke his own ego
- or their freind made the movie....********

- #2 for sure. His ego is toweringbaseline_shift

even if this wine is as good as he says it is... it will be wasted on dirtbags with bad tattoos, bad mohawks, & bad cut off concert shirts while chasing it down with lines of bathtub meth.

I went to a wine signing while he was out here...cool guy.

I'm with scarabin and b_shift... though I don't see anything in the trailer that would really capture the attention of other wine aficionados. I'm curious though, he's definitely an interesting guy (and this is one of the things that makes him so).

wooooaah
tim & eric? I'm there

ffs, the dude is marketing his new career and just getting the word out. It's not geared towards the snobby wine folk.
He was approached to make this doc, it was not his idea. So they got him, a bunch of his friends and made a flik.
- I'm not dissing the idea necessarily, I just think the marketing approach might accentuate the cliché.ismith
- That being rock stars trying to be sophisticated– even if that isn't the case (I don't believe it to be for Maynard), this doesn't counter that perception imo.ismith
