Using a picture of a monitor

So, ive seen quite a few people use apples monitors for portfolio presentation, is this legal? Can it be used for commercial purpose? Lets say you remove the logo from a monitor and just keep the body.

IF YOU REMOVE THE LOGO, IT COULD BE A PHOTO OF A CHEAP CHINESE KNOCKOFF FOR ALL THEY KNOW, SO MUST BE LEGAL

it might be legal if the monitor can't be recognized (even w no logo) and from an original photo.

I use a livesurface image of a cinema display for showing web work. No logo, no problem.

it's the photo that's the issue, not the apple logo.
As long as it's your photo, it doesn't matter. This may not be the case in large-scale advertising etc

wouldn't a screenshot of a browser with said site loaded be more appropriate than a photo of a computer of a browser with the site?

I'm going to be using a variety of different monitors and also an HD TV in my new folio. Sundry manufacturers can suck my fat one if they think I'll be taking the images down

haha geez, its not for personal use, it's for a client need a shot of a monitor, ill guess ill shoot my dell and remove the logo? or maybe buy a stockphoto of a monitor, that must be legal i guess?

is it legal to use a mac computer to create designs, or do I have to clear it with adobe and apple before I do anymore work?
