wow. really? this shit happens all the time, all over the world. What's so special about this? The fact that it happened to white people, and not Arabs?
and what the fuck was he gonna do when we reached the bus? hit it a couple of times with his car, and try to kill someone before they clubbed him to death?

the driver died in the hospital last night. the case is closed. we will probably never know exactly. he was a former part-time security employee, some say he had an ex-wife and wasn't able to pay the rent any longer.. a nasty get together of circumstances which really can drive a man into crazy things like this.. :(

It's a national holiday which means a lot to Dutch people. The Dutch royal family are the only royals who come this close and party -with- the people. In the past a guy even managed to give the queen a kiss, a girl jumped on the bike with the crown-prince and the crown-prince even participated in a public sporting event (anonymously, but was found out later). They're very near to the people. And loved.
That is why it's special. Sure, shit happens all goddamn day - but this happened -live- on television on one of the most festive, joyious days on the Dutch calendar. It's the very first attack on the royal family in a couple of centuries aswell.

prejudice always goes hand in hand with a lack of knowing about context.
