If you want to be close to Stubbs, you'll only find the large chain hotels (Holiday Inn, Hyatt, etc). However, since you are coming to Austin, I suggest embracing the DIY aesthetic of the city and finding a boutique like the Hotel San Jose (http://www.sanjosehotel.com/) or Hotel Saint Cecilia (http://www.hotelstcecilia.com/)
