I've been to a few vacation spots, have always liked Cancun Mexico in the off-season (not spring break)...like early in the year or in the fall. Everything is cheap. Food is great. Weed dealers come to you. Weather is awesome. The beach, sands, and ocean are amazing. And you'll feel REALLY tall compared to everyone else. There beer is pretty good too.

the best trip i have taken was actually out west to yellowstone. that is definitely a outdoors, one with the animals kind of trip though, so many odd fun places around there. if you want margaritas on the beach probably not the place.

No. How did that happen?

I really liked touring Sonoma and Napa, although I thought Napa was a bit too much of a tourist trap but I strayed away from the main places and found some interesting wineries. I'm really into wine and decided to drive to Lodi, which is the best Zinfandel producing region IMHO and almost all of the tastings we did there were free since they're business is making wine not squeezing tourists (not to mention the 40$ bottles were like 12$).
And since I live in Alberta now, I have to recommend Banff / Lake Louise / Sunshine Village. If you're into hiking and just want to see what the Alpes would like if they they were totally wild come on down. There's tons of great great restaurants in Banff and there's nothing quite like spending the day in awesome wilderness and score a 5 star meal at the end of the day.
- Jasper, AB is nice too, not as much the tourist trap that Banff is.chris_himself

Kiggen, try my locale. Or Guernsey, or Herm. Beautiful little islands. And your Euro will go down well here because we're Sterling based.

Herm is particularly beautiful - small, one shop, couple of pubs, no roads, best beaches in the Channel Islands.

if you're feeling flush, a recommend a trip to french polynesia. particularly the island of huahine. amazing surfing (if you're into that), diving is incredible there, and the general atmosphere is pure holiday through and through. loved it, and would go back in a heart beat if i could afford it.
