Make it type only. Serif Gothic or similar in an interesting lockup.
if you need a graphic/symbol, work it into the type, I say.
Happy Easter.......

There used to be a brothel around here called sweethearts. Logo was a long spiral lollipop heading between the two bumps of a love heart. . both elements horizontal (wasn't suggestive of anything else but a heart and a lollipop ;) ). The joint is shut down now, maybe you can resurrect the logo.

maybe if you abstract the kissing pair in 2,3 into lineart you would get an interesting sign.
text needs new idea imo, maybe 2lines instead of that long 1liner, another font?

Lovin 1C. Lovin the icon... definitely don't need the red glow.
My initial thought though is that the type feels a bit disconnected.
I would play with this for a while before going to a totally new concept.

where are the 1 colors of c and d?

Thanks everybody - I know these are rough but I have a lot to go on now!
- akrokdesign0
try 1b as one solid color/colour.
- monNom0
the idea behind 1c could be interesting if it was stripped down and stylized to work in 1 colour. too much happening now.
though there's a lot you could do outside of hearts and literal translation. keep at it.

doesn't feel like a logo really... more like a piece of clipart next to a rather hastily type set ('meh' at that) font...
the last two... not felling them at all... they look like mud at the scale they're at now - the imagery is well.. muddy... blends into nothing clever... two heads jammed together?
find some beautiful lines in the faces... work them w/some nice typography... perhaps incorporating your heart shape...
... but these are exactly what you said... quickly slapped together...
... not much holding any of these together.
Just being honest. :)

Thanks again for all the feedback, gang! Here's round two...hopefully these suck less than the initial batch. Please let me know which (if any) you prefer.
A comment of my own: I am liking the direction of 1 and 2 but I am afraid it might be too similar to the Roxy logo (www.roxy.com). Thoughts?

6 is kinda cool, actually
- looks like an asian character of some origin, which is goodmonospaced

just forget the faces in general. everytime i see them, it goes from logo to clipart instantly

I think you need to decide if it is gonna be "The Art Of..." or just TAOMO.
P.S. nice illustrations. Are these really friends of yours, if so need to introduce us

OK, I will feedback.
#1 and 2 - Sorry, having trouble telling what it is.
#3 - Not bad idea, needs better execution
#4, 5 - Looked better on the first page
#6 - Kind of cool, but not sure if the ultra simplicity is appropriateHow about a refinement of #3 for the logo and use the kissing people from the first page as an illustration?

the one which works in black and white

1a....work on the stroke thickness, it should go from thick to thin and work on the flames a little. Get it "hot and heavy"
