initial impressions to well-thought-out and detailed thrashings are welcome. (appreciated actually)

yo uwant a crtique of your work, or of the template thingmie you have used to display it?
- digdre0
some of your work is nice.
although I don't really like your actuall booklet design
- johngrif0
i like it a lot. well done
- Arvizu0
both, we're off to a good start.
sorry, wasn't clear. The work is most important, but I'm interested in opinions on the presentation too.

really, some of the work is quite nice, but please get rid of that book this template .. that's a real no-no.. blog style is better than that even.
keep it up and work on the presentation of the whole thing ..
- thanks, I'm not using this for online presence, just to get a critique of the sample... if that helps...Arvizu

Nice works! You have some great stuff in there.
What does "I can do can" mean? I didn't get it and it made me think of this guy:

kill booklet...
your H1 Capitalization is inconsistent throughout. Not quite understanding the flow or grid yet. A book such as yours should tell a story. It started off nice with a question and answer..then went off to being category based (direct mail, web etc). I understand that the "works" are the answer but what if each project had a question/answer?
- monospaced0
Good start. I actually really like the interface. One of the nicer ways to view a "book" on screen, imo. Otherwise, I agree with hellogoodbye in that it should have a flow to it that feels unresolved.

I think more interesting photography might help. I'm a sucker for that limited depth of field stuff... Plus using photography would make it easier to craft a narrative.

very nice utility

One more thing. I like to see work up close, so I can see your attention to detail. A few macro shots leading up to showing the whole thing would build anticipation, and "not blow your whole load" with the first image for each project.

Very nice stuff in there. The tool you are using to display the material sucks to the point it detracts from your work. It gives you a close look at the work but I think each would have more impact if displayed separately... a good example of what I mean would be Build's site. http://wearebuild.com
- wow--Build's site is great, and wonderful work to show off. Thanks!Arvizu

"I can do can"
Does not compute

thanks for your suggestions and time.

I too am a fan of the flash book. It keeps the whole traditional portfolio feel. However, if you want to go that direction, I would suggest hiring a flash developer to put something a bit more custom for you. The whole question/answer thing is a little weak since your portfolio is the essence of that anyways. I don't really have any qualms with any of the work displayed, just the way it is displayed. I disagree with the blog format comment, it's overdone already, and kind of boring.

Better than another blog template or indexhibit template!
