"—Ability to turn off advertising elements and unwanted elements like twitter feeds etc."
I'll believe it when I see it. Although I won't see it either way because of using an adblock...

lots of web designers quitting because the forum for creativity has been narrowed by corporate structuring around the industry.

surely the design will have to consider content much more now. There's so many different draws on ones attention that my guess is that we'll see better designs working with the content.
I really have reached a point where I no longer visit a site for the design (as I may have done a few years back and been wow'ed) now I really do need quality content and possibly also interaction/community with others so something where the content is relevant, current and customised to my needs.
I predict that designs will look at how to present these concepts - maybe using rounded borders, drop shadows and relfections. I dunno.

the use of more web standards that allow the user to interact with the content in different ways like: http://www.cooliris.com/
more web applications http://fontstruct.fontshop.com/ or http://www.splashup.com/

One page websites with scroll to navigation. For example: www.volll.com

Less gradients and drop shadows? I'm sick of those.
I'm with you on point 5.

—Hackability

—More black
—Ability to turn off advertising elements and unwanted elements like twitter feeds etc.
—CSS3
—Less whitespace, better content or..
—Less navigation, search by interest
(ie. it's there if you want it, you just don't have to look at it)—Removing/Rethinking everything we're used to include. Do I really need Digg, Reddit, Facebook buttons, Favorite Youtube videoes, My latest Flickr photos from someone's wedding, that Jquery function that's funny like a kid's toy, chat-box, commentbox, polls, flash looking like html etc.
What would you like to see/do?
