@James: Please let us know, if you get the time to implement some of the advice you got here. I'd love to see the final result (also feel free to e-mail me, if you don't want to bump the thread).

this site is pretty nice. I would take the advice of others and have the menu fixed. "top" buttons are easy to miss.

You're welcome. :)
Maybe you could make a nice expand/collapse or zoom effect with Mootools or something, so that the large image merges in with your other content better. I'm not really sure, but you're right off by not giving them their own set of sub-pages or using pop-ups, which wouldn't work in your case...
- Tough because of your content col's width though...doctor

@doctor, thanks! I know about the XHTML Validation, I had to sacrifice it to get the lightbox working properly... Maybe I'll rethink the lightbox. Do you have any suggestions about another way to present the video and larger graphics?

Really nice. Easy to navigate and overview, while showcasing your work nicely and being pleasant to look at. I have a few comments.
Minor:
--------
- I too would go for fixed left col nav.
- I would prefer more vertical space between projects.
- Not too crazy about lightbox in general. It's a little 2007 IMO.
- The Info page is quite dull. Use more color? Image?Critical:

- You need to fix your XHTML, as it doesn't validate at all. Link: http://validator.w3.org/check?ve…Keep up the good work! :)

very nice indeed. i agree about having the navigation fixed.
i think having the content scroll beneath the upper "banner" would be a fine touch (so that both your top and left navigation remains fixed).
if i were nitpicking my only suggestion would be to consider some sort of border for your lightbox and possibly a "close" button set with raster type.

I like your site and lay-out!
the design doesn't overpower your actual work and it's easy to navigate. Well done!

looks good man. like others have said would be nice not to have to scroll back up for the navigation

Great, that went well! I have to admit i was nervous posting any sort of crit on here. Thanks all for the useful feedback, much appreciated.

Your work is better than your site. My site sucks though, so I shouldn't be talking.

looks good, JB.

You have some nice work there mate, and a good site to back it up.
I am not to sure about you heading for the different section of the site, web design, logo and so on, they seem to get lost with the rest of the layout. But over all I like it.

Great work. I agree with mimeartist. Have the nav menu follow the viewer. You can take out the "top" button on each section. I really like the 3d ribbon on the top.

I like your work

My 2cents.
I agree with the mimeartist. In fact I´d ditch the scrolling all together and display just the respected selected project. Since there´s one single image per project Users could always access the mainnav that way. Also the particular project shot would get more attention. Less back and forth that way...
Also I didn´t expect my mail-client to popup after hitting "contact", maybe that deserves an own page? On the info page the subheader says "Select clients", that a typo (Selected Clients)? And generall,y the linkage warrants a new browser window. Then it kinda bugged me how the external links for friends&co looked exactly like the subnav, why not put that in the content area? Also, the different shades of gray, there´s maybe too many (4 or so for the Text, different background grays, etc.).
Good site in general!

i'd get the nav to follow the site as you scroll...
someone did that on here the other day i thinki like whiteness of the banner and shadows...
although could of been a little more subtle
