I just finished up my new portfolio site and I'd love to hear some feedback from the QBN community.
Thanks!

just my 2 cents, i would rather have your navbar on the left fixed so i dont have to keep going up and down.

I like it, looks great! so does your work! well done.
... but if I was being critical....
Not sure about the lightbox effects on your web work... why not just link to the actual website, these lightboxes aren;t doing your work justice, the images are all squashed. Also, the two sites that weren;t finished... maybe link to full size JPEGS if you are going to show them so you can see the full design.
- thanks midge! agreed about the web stuff, I'll get to it in the morning.jiaf

I like it, clean and simple.
But, the TOP^ buttons are too much, get rid of them or tone them down a bit, they clutter up the site.
- almost identical post! heheforcetwelve

I look at them before your workalicetheblue

i like it. clean and nice. it has that american gothic style which is obviously your style, but you have done it well.

Really Nice

I like it. very clean and simple. I specially like the top bar with the bend and the shadows. the code seems also clean and proper.
the works need more detachment from each other imo. it all seems a bit uniform, and at first sight, it's not clear, what is work and what is title/navigation element.
another improvement I would propose is to open external links in a new window, so you don't lose your viewers while browsing.

nice site and work, but i agree with the Top buttons and the menu

i'd get the nav to follow the site as you scroll...
someone did that on here the other day i thinki like whiteness of the banner and shadows...
although could of been a little more subtle

My 2cents.
I agree with the mimeartist. In fact I´d ditch the scrolling all together and display just the respected selected project. Since there´s one single image per project Users could always access the mainnav that way. Also the particular project shot would get more attention. Less back and forth that way...
Also I didn´t expect my mail-client to popup after hitting "contact", maybe that deserves an own page? On the info page the subheader says "Select clients", that a typo (Selected Clients)? And generall,y the linkage warrants a new browser window. Then it kinda bugged me how the external links for friends&co looked exactly like the subnav, why not put that in the content area? Also, the different shades of gray, there´s maybe too many (4 or so for the Text, different background grays, etc.).
Good site in general!

I like your work

Great work. I agree with mimeartist. Have the nav menu follow the viewer. You can take out the "top" button on each section. I really like the 3d ribbon on the top.

You have some nice work there mate, and a good site to back it up.
I am not to sure about you heading for the different section of the site, web design, logo and so on, they seem to get lost with the rest of the layout. But over all I like it.

looks good, JB.

Your work is better than your site. My site sucks though, so I shouldn't be talking.
