How long do a pair of jeans last you folks. Before you chuck them out that is.
- 10-20 years for real!3point14159
- I think I have a pair going on 2 years. Most disintegrate after a year though.canuck
- if denim is wearing out after a year you are purchasing the wrong denim.epill
- denim should last for a long long time. perhaps you should purchase a heavier weight denimepill
- you should look for 10 oz or higher for denim... most mass maarket brands use 8 oz or lessepill
- I just buy cheap jeans is all. Don't think I've ever spent more than $70 on a pair.canuck

i have denim that i wear regularly for over 15 years, and they still look newish... its all about how you treat them.. denim should never be washed thru a machine, and never should it be dried thru a machine either. denim is a quality cotton or blend that doesnt absorb sweat like other fabrications do... also the absorbtion doesnt or shouldnt penetrate the depth to the inside either, if this is happening your denim brand needs an upgrade... weak or mass market brands use low quality manufacturing processes...
look for strong brands with high quality. look for treated denim too.
also indigo denim has the highest quality of all denim out there due to the indigo process.i love denim, i wear nothing else ever.

the reason i dislike Levi's is that they have lost their brand identity, in each part of the world designing for Levi's they each do their own thing, like Levi's Japan doesnt follow any trend direction that their American counterparts are advising for the year, also each different area in Levi's has a different cut for their sample size and basic core collection cut. this causes a lot of issues in regards to the fashion of the garment itself... as each country is defining their own ideal to what the brand stands for over the brand itself defining the culture...
recently Levi's decided to destroy every pattern, every mold and every design since their inception to re-define the brand and decided to pick 1 cut as the first body for all the designers across the world to work from. the cut chozen is a very straight and narrow boot cut from the 50s 544 cut...
Levi's Japan still does their own thing and charges more than triple any Levi's around the world... but their are distinct for Japan and collectibles for the world market.
the main selling powerhouses for Levi's were the engineered, and wax coated cuts both of which have been destroyed and will never been seen for a longg time.
as the fathers of denim jeans with 5 rivited pockets to me have fallen to a new low by holding back from their customer base their best selling concepts to showcase a more basic collection to try to re-establish their brand in the market... its a good stance but to me now shuns away their heavy denim purchasing base... i used to wear Levi's a lot but not ever again...

@ stevejobs those jeans (prps) are pretty nice. super expensive though. Are these the best jeans around right now? I still wear Sevens and Diesel just because they are the most comfortable have a few Paper Denim and a comfy pair of Joe's.
- 'best' is subjective. i like 'em because of how well they fade and are a very soft cotton. waaay overpriced though.SteveJobs
- cool thanks. do you suggest ebay?HijoDMaite
- ebay is fine, but learn the style's/fits/cuts first so you know what your getting.SteveJobs
- their target consumer is the Japanese market. everything is expensive there.e-pill

- The first Denim LP is a lost classic. Some advertising douche needs to use Back in Denim in an ad and help Lawrence pay his rent.citysurgical

I'm getting tired of seeing some kind of ornamentation on the pockets of most jeans these days. And this is on good brands as well. It's like an ass hood ornament or something.
