Stupid question i am sure but can't seem to work it out. In CS3 when I have created an animated file how do I save it as an animated .gif?
Cheers

Photoshop -> File -> Save for web -> .GIF

Imageready has been incorporated into the main PS interface.
to open the timeline just do window>animation

So OK I get how to create an animated gif in PS CS3.
You used to be able to open an existing animated gif though and all the frames would be laid out in the animation tab.How do you do that now? There is an anigif I want to edit!
- HAYZ1LLA0
Imageready is like your name in CS3 though!
- lvl_130
you can open an existing animated gif in photoshop. just pull up the timeline and you will see all frames there.
they will obviously all be flat though, so if you want to edit something you will need the original psd (or just rework the animated gif via hacking it to pieces).

Na, i open it up in pshop and only get the first frame.
I googled it and they said..."Change the animated GIF file you want to open into .MOV file. Therefore the Import Video Frames to Layers function will recognize it as a video file and will open it as animated sequence."
That is bullsquit though. I didn't work. Maybe it's just this file.
