When you log into some ssl domains using Firefox, there's a green favicon/title area in the url bar preceding the https domain address. I'm guessing it's not automatic since not every secure location has one. Any ideas how this is achieved?
example (for Firefox users):

you have to pay for whats called 'Extended Validation' to whoever you get your SSL through. it turns IE's address bar or part of firefox's, green. it's basically them pinky swearing that you are in fact who you say you are.
i did it with my company, and it was expensive and a HUGE pain in the ass. you usually have to get an opinion letter from an attorney stating that all your business info is accurate.
unless you absolutely need it, i'd say save yourself the hassle.

Ah. I actually thought it was some stunt you could do code-wise or something.
From what you're saying - I guess it may be useful to some companies, if their clients can recognise the benchmark.
Anyway, thanks so much for the info, Stevejobs. Cheers.
Cheers.
