Has this happened before? Did you go to the doctor or emergency room? any other symptoms? jaw pain? numbeness in extremeties?

i work a lot, and no about smoking, no about coffee. well i didnt have that before... maybe some small stress few years ago gave me insomnia, but nothing else.

Do you have anxiety/nervousness ?
Sounds like a panic attack to me as well.Hang in there man!

The world is very stressful now. Pace of life is faster than ever. Take some sick days. Don't worry about who does your work while you are away. Tell the company you are stressed from overworking and let it be their problem to cover for you.

I'm no doctor but I'd suggest if you've had a bit of a "turn" then taking up sports at the moment may not be the smartest idea.
- senseg0
if its panic attack - then its worst thing i ever had!
- stewart0
sounds like chronic hyperventilation syndrome or something.

sounds like you are really really low risk for any kind of serious heart problem..so unless you have a heretofor undetected murmur or something, you're fine. But definitely go back to the doctor and start an exercise program man...find something you like to do - run, bike, sports, lifting weights, swimming, whatever...and if it happens again (and you have health coverage) go to the ER and say your having heart problems..they'll definitely do an EKG...or if you're really worried about it have your doc send you to a cardiologist and get a stress test...but seriously, 23, non smoker..not much there...
Unless you do cocaine. In which case stop. Or you have a family history of early death due to heart problems...
- As you can tell I'm married to a cardiologist...but this is not any sort of official medical advice..TheBlueOne
- hahaha.. judging by the presence of a proper disclaimer (not it's small print on the side) you come from.. which country? ;)rafalski
- This guy clearly knows nothing and is just repeating. You can't say 'you're 23, non smoker, you'll be fine' !!!!set
- When did I say that?TheBlueOne
- '23, non smoker..not much there...'set
- as if that has anything to do with anything and sums up his whole lifestyle and physical condition lolset
- I wrote more than that asshole. Right there in black and white. Open your fucking eyes.TheBlueOne
- Yeah, and don't hijack disclaimer note!rafalski
- Internet argument!!!set
- God you're so predictable, LOSER!set
- TheBlueOne0
Oh...and get laid.
- senseg0
when i called him, he made me a EKG, he says my heart is good. But guys, id really suggest you all to think how much you work.
- That's good. Still, relax. Get laid. And stay off of that demon cocaine.TheBlueOne
- I'm old enough to realise working too hard is a mugs game..jamble

I've had them everyday since I was 18 and I'm same age as you now, so that's 8 years of them. They are a horrible experience & just don't want to go away.
- every day? jesus!hallelujah
- realy? and what u do?
senseg - oops, I mean 3 years older than youjay_jay
- jay_jay0
not a right lot I can do, it's all escalated into "social phobia" now, so I get them obviously in social situations. They have fucked my life up and it's been very difficult to find the help. I've only just found someone kinda local that I'm hoping can get it all sorted.

Don't get too paranoid about it though. If you check your pulse every 5 minutes it is a good way to develop cardiac neurosis :)

Serious heart conditions are relatively rare for otherwise healthy people in your age. Listen to your doctor - it's very likely to be stress related.
You should definately work less, at least for a period of time. Slow down and allow yourself to take the weekends (or a few weekdays) completely off - just do things you like.
I would also recommend sports, or any physical activity that won't allow you to think about work etc. For me, an hour in the gym works wonders on both body and mind.
Hope you get over this soon.
- Didn't I say this already?TheBlueOne
- I have no idea. If so - what's the problem?doctor
- MSTRPLN0
#1 See a doctor, get a physical just to be certain
#2 Join a gym (after seeing the doctor of course)

I've been having this trouble also. I'm 31 years young and, at times, found to be stressed out. I found getting a rough massage will do this problem worlds of difference. Jay: dammit I'm an artist not a doctor but I'd but your sweet ass your problem may be related to brain function. What's up sexy neurology!

My boss and my dad have had this, the recommendations for both were:
1. STOP DRINKING COFFEE - primary cause
2. get more sleep
3. do some exercise
