Two pieces of glass in the sun. Usually glass from a picture frame works pretty well.
- I left a friends copy of Physical Graffiti on my turntable in front of my window in H.S. He was so pissed off and I didn't have the 7.99 to buy him a new one.fooler2

i put it on a flat surface in a sleeve with a towel over it and put a big pot of hot water on it from the stove

Go ask Hedge's mom to sit her fat ass down on top of your records and ask her to fart, that should do the trick

If you take a metal mixing bowl and place it upside down on the middle rack and lay the record on top of the bowl then turn on the heat it makes a pretty cool bowl

I driving my car across the country moving and my records sat in the back seat of my car for hours in the hot sun. When I got to my hotel room, all of my records (3 crates full) were warped bad. Since they were still hot I took them all out of the crates and stacked them on top of eachother. They sat all night like this and cooled down. It worked perfect everyone one of them was flattened back and they all played perfect.
If they have already cooled down I recommend setting them somewhere in the hot sun for 3 or 4 hours and then doing what I described above. Good luck man !

I tried a vinyl in the oven to flatten out a wobble spot once. It actually kinda worked. I heated the oven up and just opened the oven door and just barely got it close enough to heat it up some. Then when i saw it give a little I immediately placed it on the floor and pressed at it a bit to flatten.
Mind you I did this with some old trance record that I didn't really care about. I would highly recommend NOT doing that with your Mars Volta record.
- jesus christ! i would never ever do thatOnesandZeros
- trance or mars volta, are deff the only ones I would try it with.Meeklo
- Ha ha, nice one Meeklo.Gilt001
- mouse on mars.. that's a different story.Meeklo
- Haha well I knew someone would bring up a distaste for TMV, not that I blame you... they are quite irritating usuallyismith

i've done what gilt suggested. it works...sometimes. but the problem is that it goes from rigid to sloppy pretty quick if the heat is to high.
i wonder if you could wrap the record in a shirt or towel and use an iron on it's very lowest setting? probably souldn't work because the iron would not be wide enough to cover all and could lead to uneveness...
do you know anyone with a shirt press?

it probably wont warp in transit in the fall.... I guess, depending on where you are and where the record it being shipped from.
- in other words: if you live in hell, or you are ordering from hell, dont do it.Meeklo
