I just got myself a new toy today. It arrived this morning, its actually a lot bigger than i expected it to be.
It's a Behringer BCR2000. Something with lots of knobs that i can assign music controls to for my music-making.
Was looking for a pic of them on google to show to a mate and it turns out that Daft Punk use them as part of their live setup. Pretty major part of the setup too :)

i always thought they will have nothing but two cd players in there
- wonder me too how they need all thiese knobs to accomplish their gig.invisiblechamber
- ack, sorry, bad english day...invisiblechamber
- Why two? why not do a Hooky?db_gd

is it a control console or is it an actual synth as well?
- 23kon0
its just a midi controller console.
theres 4 banks for all the knobs so its about 70? knobs to assign.means that i can tweak stuff without having to touch the mouse or go find the effects and tweak them on screen.
The keyboard I use at the moment doesnt have enough knobs n sliders lol.

mcLeod - where'd you hear that?
maybe for wee DJ gigs etc, but i doubt that daft punk would send a couple of mates along to a big festival gig.
last year at Rockness, theyd requested their own area backstage. meant that no one would see them at all with their masks off.
- yeah its actually Judge Jules and Pete Tong in therekelpie

- i have one of these, works awesome, very lite and relatively durable, works with anythingwankerbez
- I use this with Traktor, love it except for the fact that sometimes I don't hit the play button right and miss a cueninjasavant
- the only thing is i wouldn't mind a jog wheel with it. but all the other ones with wheels look like a friggin toyusrper

A friend that works with my wee bro who's a bit of a hardcore programmer and a bit of a master-of-everything had offered to work with me to use flash to be able to create custom controllers on a touchscreen.
That'd be pretty cool, esp if we did a some kind of CMS that would allow people to do this themselves. I just dont have the time to dedicate to something like that. Even though it wouldve been him doing most of the heaviest work.
