I finished it last night. I didn't do all the side missions, but I was actually quite surprised it was as easy as it was.

yeah, if you play straight through the storyline it doesn't take too long to finish (especially if you glance at a walkthrough or two).
i think the real fun is in exploring all the areas not listed on the map and doing the side missions.
last time i played i was wandering around and somehow into vault 106. http://gamesblog.ugo.com/index.p…
i'm not a big gamer but i do love the concepting and art direction that went into this game.

Im playing a game where my rule is I attack and kill any living thing i see.
So far I've wiped out the vault and megaton.

Been playing off and on. Great game.
I still think all these open-ended games are plagued by overall lack of detail in the graphics, depth of the dialogue, and a storyline that is never quite as good as if it was told for you. It's like because of the enormity of these games, they have to be sort of generic which always stands out to me.

I can't watch Heroes anymore. Whenever Linderman (sp?) delivers his lines, all I can think about is President Eden.

@cannonball
how's that going for you? i'm thinking of turning my character evil as well. but i'd rather complete quests, then kill everyone.
i left off in "the family's" underground bunker. i think i'll complete whatever quests are going on in there, then murder em all.

Theres a lot of bodies everywhere. I've gotten over the guilt of shotgunning peoples melons into little bits in mid-dialogue. It's hard to buy stuff too.
That said raiding caravans is fun and I have a lot of weapons.

Got it on Friday and I've already clocked up more hours than I want people to know about. It's fricking absorbing, finding it difficult to be anything other than good. Just picked up the Sniper Rifle, I'm going to be having fun with that, that's for sure...

I have been dismembering and decapitating people after they are dead
HOOKED

Make sure to check out "Operation: Anchorage" and "The Pitt" to get new achievements/perks/gear and some replay value if you've already finished this amazing game.

For those of you who've played this amazing game the new expansion, Broken Steel, came out last week.
It raises the level cap from 20-30, adds new missions, gear, perks, and achievements and extends the main campaign by about 8 hours. Highly recommended this game left you wanting more.
You can also check out the other expansions Operation: Anchorage and The Pitt which are also terrific additions to the Fallout 3 world.
Cheers!

I can't wait for New Vegas. I'm approaching 150 hours into Fallout 3...

This IS just an expansion right, not a full game you can play without a copy of 3???

According to Pete Hines, Vice President of PR & Marketing for Bethesda Softworks, the game is "not a sequel to Fallout 3, it's just another game in the universe.
