I'm working on an environmental graphic display where by I want to project a title onto a wall using light and shadows. I don't want to use a projector or a gobo. does anybody understand what I'm saying?
if you have examples of this idea can you please pass them along.

what's a gobo?

What about knocking the type out of a piece of laminate or similar and putting a light source behind it?
- Doh!D_Dot
- i want the shadow casting type to be perpendicular to the shadow receiving wall. Doing what you suggest won't project the shadow on the wall.

Can't you get away with just painting something on the wall?

What you're talking about is - in principle - a gobo.
- maybe the way i explain it may seem that way but ultimately I'm looking for more innovative ways of displaying type on a wall. see lvl_13's examples.transmission
