  for the record and all the "glossy" moaners..

  i have a matte ACD and a glossy iMac, and i prefer the glossy. you just need consider where you position it, obviously with your back facing a bright window is a bad idea... but i wouldn't work that way on a matte display either.

  they're also really nice to keep clean. easy to wipe down and no raised edges to collect dust and crud.

  I'm trying not to have a knee-jerk reaction, but the black screen is horrendous. Obviously catering to the PC conversion crowd. It seems like they perhaps were thinking that a black matte around the screen would make the colors pop more, but it just looks weird. Half black half gray frankenstein-like. I'm not sold on this at all.
