  yeah, skwiotsmith basically nailed it, but depending on what you like to do, for a nightlife maybe try Uptown, or even Northeast, downtown tends to be pretty corporate and dies down at night.

  The French Meadow is pretty tasty, and healthy, eats. The Triple Rock Social Club as the best po boy in town, and the Spy House is a popular (trendy) coffee shop.

  Thanks dudes, I am here for some php training class. Not sure how much free time I am going to have, I ate at an OK sushi place called Musashi a few minutes ago. It was pretty dead so there were like 5 people waiting on me.

  Btw, what is the deal with me seeing tons of steak restaurants on my way there? seriously I counted 6 in the 4 block walk.

  if you want good sushi hit up origami right by the Hennepin ave bridge or kikugawa on St Anthony main
  Both are right on the edge of downtown. I'd give you an exact link but stupid iPhones and their no copy and paste blah!
  Def. Hit up pizza luce on 5th st and 1st ave as well for some great pizza and hoagies. You gonna be downtown the whole time? Me you and big-papes and the other qbn guys should grab some lunch this week...or maybe a drink after work. Don't know if you would be interested but shoot me a mail.
