i am sorry for not being street and leet like you are, you cynical cunt. you are the one that leads a sad life, trying to outrun others in intellectualism, as if you are the chosen one to decide over other people's opinion.you rasko, are a cunt.

Look how personal you have become so suddenly, how vindictive and genuinely bitter. Look how you've run around to bump this thread because you know I'm online and you want me to read this.
Do you feel better now you've informed me of my sad, cynical life?
- janne760
i thought it was simply odd that you refer to me as calling it art or not when i stated that a lot of people i have talked to about this are generally quick to label it anything but art. which is interesting, as this seems to stir discussions about art more than a VanGogh that has been discovered on an old attic..
- tbh I just get sick of the media moaning about everything as if everyone is affected. Of course its all about money, art is a commodity, its all bullshit.max_prophet

What the fuck am I doing on the internet?
Why can't this Hirst shit be sold privately, without media attention? Can't those "collectors" (//) not be informed quietly.
Let there be an authority (Stasi like, oh how convenient) to decide what is worthy to pass as art so we can consume safely.
Art to be labelled and controlled like healthy consumable fair trade bananas.
Art would never be shocking. Just softly numbing our souls.
And the world would only be bothered by religion. Well,
that'd be next on the list.Let us be sheep.
- oh btw, this was meant to be a little joke.. but hey, interpretation again eh? *SIGHjanne76

janne, getting all offensive and spamming your own thread doesn't make you right. the only thing it does is making me log back into this site.
most people you talk about Hirst to don't consider it art, funny enough most people I talk about his work to do consider it art, what does that prove ?
you don't like it, alright. but why some people NEED for others to feel the same way they do when it comes to art is beyond me.
there's no absolute truth in art (and that's an absolute truth).
as for the fact that many of his works are put together or painted by assistants, i don't see why it's bugging you so much or why you feel the need to know who they are.
it's been a tradition in art for centuries, and I doubt you're interested in knowing who installed the windows in a Frank Lloyd Wright house, or who painted eyebrows on Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling.

i am quitting this thread. salut!
"how many unnamed/uncredited assistants does he have? i can't imagine he really made all these himself.. i know for sure.. but i'd like to know who the craftsmen/women are.."
i was simply curious..
but hey, QBN is so UTTERLY cynical about everything, that anything you wonder about, glorify, put into the picture, question is immediatly being interpreted as being hateful.
oh and i am also sorry for talking to the wrong people.
oh and i am ALSO sorry for not belonging to your artful scene..
---
i will keep my conversations about art offline.
people can actually see and feel i am a kind person, wondering about things...
now i am out.
bye.

I win
you can leave the paranoia and attitude out of it, read your comments back and don't be surprised when people actually reply or argue.
i can appreciate the evolution of your posts in this thread and anybody admitting there might be something for him/her after all in work he/she's not immediately attracted to, but attitudy self-agreeing monologues (though they have the benefit of reminding me how good celibacy is) and name calling aren't going to bring you much credibility or support.no harsh feelings

I read a very insightful article in the Telegraph.
http://dailytelegraph.newspaperd…It suggested the work auctioned was so bad it looked deliberate. (All of it being a banal variation on what Hirst had done before - some of it even looking like Damien Hirst replicas or parodies)
In fact Hirst was actually making a point of the auction itself.
By making his work so bad on purpose, he was daring the market to recognise that by crashing.
Highlighting the incredibly rich cunts who sustain the market, as ill-advised and tasteless fools in the process.
MWwaahahahaha.
Props to him. I like it.
