How about Simple Viewer?
http://www.airtightinteractive.c…You just save off images and put em in a folder, then edit the xml file to sort through em. Fairly easy to set up and you can change the bg colours and whatnot.

I recently needed to do something VERY similar, ended creating a presentation using Keynote 08 > exporting to Hi res quicktime file > then converted to FLV for playing online, worked really well if you just want basic animation/transitions.

thought about that but they want the ability to pull or replace

MrDinky
I dont think theres an easy way to do this in flash if its got to be apdateable."Someones" got to put the work in to create the thing.
If they want a template thing then yeah Keynote / PDF Presentations? You could create templates for them to stuck to.
Other than that - you could build templates IN flash in CS3 and they can create their OWN presentations in CS3 from these various templates.
- indeed, i just wanted to see if there were any prepackaged solutions out there********

i guess either you need to make a custom interface / tool in flash or use simple view or key note
these people think keynote is too hard

Does it have to be in flash?
Something like this maybe if not...?- nah.. flash cause they want lovely transitions etc********
- This has nearly every transition available on-board.ghandolf
- true.. this is what they want. they want to just dump images or files some where and by magic things happen********
- I used to have to do 'happy face videos' and started to use this. It saves a LOT of time.ghandolf
- Point it to a folder with photos, select transition(s), 'sync to audio' and you're done!ghandolf
- hah thx but they want FLASH cause its the LATEST TECHNOLOGY !!!********

does anyone know what kind of file formats are supported in simple viewer?
can it take QT or SWF?
- ********0
thanks ian
i wonder if it can handle FLV also.. if so, that would be awesome

No worries Dinky,
Heres the list from the simple viewer FAQ's of what will/wont load.23: Will SimpleViewer load things other than JPG images?
SimpleViewer can load JPG, GIFs, PNGs and SWFs. Any other file types (TXT, FLVs etc) are not supported. SWFs are loaded in the same way as JPGs, just add the SWF filename to gallery.xml. Note that you will need to add a thumbnail SWF with the same name as the large SWF in the 'thumbs' folder (the same as for a JPG).
