I'm considering a move to the Seattle area from California. How's the market for web designers?

I just moved here from LA, and the maket is tiny in comparison. There are only a handful of companies (Microsoft, Publicis, Starbucks, TMobile and a couple others), and all they really have are corporate UED jobs. Not sure if thats the type of work youre looking for ... Im more visual, so im having a hard time finding work that matches with what i do. And I've had to reduce my rate also, they definitely dont pay as much here. I've had to continue freelancing for LA-based clients to make it work

Let me know if you have any specific questions, although I don't claim to be an expert. jfletcher might know more too.
