  Just did mine this morning (running old 2G iPhone with 1.1.4 / ZiPhone) - worked perfectly.

  Not very impressed with losing Installer and it's apps so far as the App Store is a bit lame, but over time - should be pretty good.

  Here's a good breakdown of instructions - be aware though that if you're running a new 3G iPhone with the 2.0 firmware you won't be able to unlock it....YET.

  If your looking for Summerboard or games or anything at the minute don't bother.

  And people missing Installer, even if it was there you would have the exact same content as what is currently on Cydia. The reason Summerboard and games are missing is because they have not been ported to 2.0 yet. Cydia does the exact same job as Installer in fact it does it a hell of a lot faster and safer (takes care of dependencies for you, console stuff like Ruby actually fucking worked).

  So basically unless your interested in unlocking or console stuff, don't bother

  Well, yes and no. Cydia right now is aimed pretty much at the developer market, which is great if you're looking for BSD or Terminal type tools, but yeah - modern's right. The apps that really made it fun just aren't there...yet.

  Give it time - the Pwnage tool just came out yesterday so I'd say in about 2 weeks or so, we should start seeing a lot more stuff moving over.

  (same deal with the Windows version and the 2.0/3G unlock - all coming soon)

  My Tip....Don't do it yet!!

  I tried the thing...everything went smooothly until Bootneuter, which says it will take 2mins, yet it just hung and hung.
  After about 10 mins I decided to unplug....

  After rebooting, I discovered I have a £330 brick...nice

  after tonnes of searching I came across this tutorial to reset the firmware to 1.1.4:

  (I tried the whole tutorial and kept getting the 1604 error, so I opted for v1.1.4 & ZiPhone for now until there is something more stable/reliable available)

  I have some problems after unlocking 2.0. I can't answer calls correctly. I can't user the slider, even though it's there. I have to press the home button to answer. Also mail app folders have huge delays when navigating now.
