I'm linking to an external .js file two actually. On my hard drive it all works good. WHen I upload to server nooo. I've looked everywhere. You guys are my last resort? :o) Any idea? I tried paths etc everything seems to be in the right place. thank u.

you do actually have the 2 .js files uploaded to your server correct?
stupid question, maybe. but do you? and you made sure your paths aren't absolute to your hd?

Do you have any other working external links? It could be that your server is blocking outgoing file requests.

its internal so i cant. the files are there but its just not working once I upload to the web sever
- its weird if I embed the two scripts in the page it worksredant
- i would show us the code that you used to link it and then show a screenshot of the directory.7point34
- have you refreshed the browser so that it is pulling the newest version of the page?7point34
- have you uploaded a recent version of the page with the link in it, and not just the js files7point34

maybe you're uploading the js files as binary instead of text?
maybe you're using IIS and the MIME types are not set up correctly?
maybe your external file is not UTF-8 encoded or some other http headers chicanery?

could be stupid suggestion but have you checked file permissions? every now and then they creep up and give grief!
