Anyone have any leads, contacts or opportunities?
Emptied my savings to move back to the big city a couple weeks ago and have yet to drum up anything solid.

you probably should take the last bit of your life savings, arrange an NT NYC open bar happy hour and then you'll start getting work...
- dropclique0
haha, how about a celebratory happy hour after I land a gig instead? ;)

more portfolios should be like yours; great aesthetic in the work, and very well presented.

to freelance in NYC:
1.email one staffing agency a link to portfolio and request to meet.
2.google 'creatiive staffing agency nyc' and send email from step one to all of them.
3.take whatever, preferrably at a really big agency.
4.on your first day, email everyone and give them your IM. be sure to get their IMs.
5.when that project is done, you'll have 20 new contacts that end up going to work for other places, and you can get work through them instead of agencys in steps #1 & 2.NYC is the place to freelance, and you're talented, so it shouldn't be an issue.
good luck.

maybe all you guys looking for a job can team up and starting on your own.
- yeah then we'd have overlapping skills and get nothing done with everyone angry, great idea!doesnotexist
