ha, ha!! It's not that I'm not enjoying my job, it's great, but I always think there's something bigger, better!
Forcetwelve, what changed for you?
- neue75_bold0
indeed...
But, I don't believe in the grass being greener anywhere else, just a different shade of brown/dead...
I just tend to want to jump ship after 6 - 12 months out of habit now..

Neue75_bold, I was like you, where I worked for a great agency for 2.5 years and then left and then it's never been the same. Whether the other agencies standards of design were not higher enough...and were not going to change, so 6-9months has been my jumping time. But i hope this job is going to be better. Although I am starting to think 'contracting' is greener and will add more spice to my life?
- greener? also you should have made their design standards higherer yourself.skt

Codername I always get this way too! Thought it was just me. It's tough when you start looking like your always jumping ship on your resume. Like 2 or 3 jobs in a row where you have only stayed 8 months or so. But it seems worse to me to suffer in a job you really don't like. I wonder sometimes with design and especially web work if this is acceptable?
Maybe it is a sign to do your own thing.

I wouldn't quite call it an itch. It's more like the glossy hype that was shone on you when you interviewed suddenly fades, leaving you with a sort-of wizard of oz moment. you see behind the facade and realize that the company is full of idiots and that you are way too over-qualified to be there.
that's actually happened to me twice in the past 5 years.
