I got the Obama poster a week or so ago, waiting on a frame.
Got the BAPE Bearbrick for my birthday.

If custom framing counts as a design purchase, count me in.
I took my iso50 Obama print and this amazing map of central Paris from the 50s in to get framed last week, and all the supplies just arrived at the store.
Can't wait to get a photo of the Paris map to show you. I bought it for $25 in an antique store in Austin, TX several years ago. It's a reproduction print, but from 1958. All hand drawn, buildings represented in 3d, it's just stunning. It's going to be more than 55" wide once framed, matted, etc. I dropped some decent money on it - $245 for acid free mounting, UV glass, nice big frame.
The Obama print is getting framed as well. I think that was around $150.

Something to Be Desired: Essays on Design by Veronique Vienne
Stylepedia: A Guide to Graphic Design Mannerisms, Quirks, and Conceits...
Design Literacy: Understanding Graphic Design [Paperback] by Heller, Steven

Hey everyone, I finally went and picked up the stuff I had framed today! I am thrilled beyond thrilled with the Paris map. Framed it is about 52 inches wide and almost as wide as my couch:
Make sure to click and see larger versions:
And also had this framed as well:
Really enjoying the change to my place!

Bumpitty bump!
Got my posters framed and really happy with em, however when I moved into my apartment there were three prints up on the wall. I've replaced two with my new ones but the last one looks extra crappy...Where are people buying posters and art online. apart from blanka are there any other good sites?
