Mythomania
-----------------
Mythomania is a condition involving compulsive lying by a person with no obvious motivation. The affected person might believe their lies to be truth, and may have to create elaborate myths to reconcile them with other facts. A pathological liar is someone who often embellishes his or her stories in a way that he or she believes will impress people. It may be that a pathological liar is different from a normal liar in that a pathological liar believes the lie he or she is telling to be true—at least in public—and is "playing" the role..It could also be that pathological liars know precisely what they are doing. "Pathological liar" is a synonym for symptoms. Even though pathological lying is not recognized as a clinical disorder, legal court cases often require that the plaintiff prove that the defendant is aware that he or she is lying. This proof is most important in cases of slander and/or liability. Pathological liars often actually convince themselves that they are telling the truth, which in turn can alter polygraph tests and other questioning. Some have observed that when caught in a lie, pathological liars tend to become hostile or try to disregard the fact they lied; often playing it off as a joke.

I believe Hedge, why not? what possible difference could it make either way? Would you rather own Christopher Wool or Jeff Koons? Or do you?
- hedge0
No, not the sandwich.

And Dmo, I've already disproved your "mythomania" theory by posting numerous pics of my claims, including my 2007 tax statements.

You go get them, son! But make sure you don't mention you still live with me and your mom. Oh. Don't mention that we all still live with my mom. Oh, and don't mention you only drive my old Chevette to your job at McDonalds

I remember people like Hedge in High School... who were perpetual liars. They had Spiderman #1, A signed Babe Ruth rookie card, or had got to ride a real hover board from back to the future. You know them.... everyone had known them. Now the internet just makes it easier for people to lie and escape from who they are. Hedge probably doesn't have many friends, doesn't have much money, came from a crappy family who didn't pay attention to him, and now he just wants someone to pay attention...even if they are hating him.
Just ignore him. He'll go away soon enough. The more you feed that more he'll love it.

No, it's not true. My son is not a perpetual liar. He's a perpetual A-hole, sure, but he never lies. Just exaggerates a bit.

Religion and the strength in character is often underrated. The Lord is always present and attentive to our problems.
