Hi all, I just finished updating my portfolio last night. New design, new work etc. etc. I'm sure there are loads of bugs and typos, but any feedback you might have would be greatly appreciated...

Many thanks in advance!

I like, maybe keyboard function to scroll through images.
- addRuffian
- yeah, I think I might do this. thanks! :)
bruised_blood - agree... fix the nav.. but good work

looks slick, agree with Ruffian too.
One thing I found a little confusing is not knowing where I was in the site, this is how I got confused:
1. On the opening page I scrolled left and right - nice.
2. Then clicked on one of the images and saw the detailed view - nice.
3. I wanted to go back to the overview, but nothing intuitively took me there.
Your work looks healthy :D
- thanks! at the moment, the only way back to the overview is to click the word 'Substate', but I think i'll add a 'home' buttonbruised_blood

love the work.
not a real fan of the site though, i didn't like the navigation

Overall. it's quite strong, and your work is great. I couldn't help wondering if it would look more better if you went more minimal with the colors - keep the color coding, but only show one at a time. Also, the nav - it's interesting, but there's something a little weird about clicking on those thin strips. Overall, love your work though, especially the Does It Offend You illustration haha

I also like the work...
the site doesn´t fit to your work... and the font is not really a good choice

nice work, generally everyone has already said what needs tweaking.
as an additional point it would be worth getting your own web-hosting and not using your .mac account, it looks more professional and the URL won't look messy in users address bar.
- yeah, i'm definitely looking into this. Besides meditemple, any other good suggestions? I'm not that rich so I can't afford it to be too expensive...
bruised_blood - mediatemple seem to be fashionable and reliable choice but pretty much anyone will do, shop around a littleSamush

How annoying - it's really good. One of those sites which makes me realise that if I'd worked a bit harder, a bit more consistently, I could've pulled it off - it's exactly what I think is 'swish'. But I haven't. Normally in this position, I'd pick out something largely irrelevant and make a big deal of it - just to make me feel better, see?
But I can't, nor would - because I like it all.
I like the colour coding. I can't see what's wrong with the font. The Nav is a touch 'unobvious', but simple enough to work out - and 'fun' to play with (as fun as nav can be, anyway). If I were to suggest anything - it'd be to maybe have some 'arrow indicator' to make it clear to idiots (like me) what to do. But probably not. I guess, as ukit says, the nav strips are a little thin.. but meh.
Damn. Good work.

I like it alot, I think the navigation is actually quite clever but takes some getting used as it's not very obvious. great for savvy users, not so good for everyone else. great work overall though!

def need to add a home button.
nice work and site

thanks for the all the feedback people... there's much for me to mull over here, so I really appreciate it. : )

really reall nice. smooth and effective. i find it strange that people say that it "doesn't fit your style of work", but i guess to each their own.
the only thing that i didn't like is that when clicking into a project, you put images on both sides of the initial image. took me a while to realize there were more images other than the ones on the right side...if that makes sense.
nice job.
- Llyod0
very nice. one problem is that the nav area is too small
- alexand0
I didn't even find the navigation area/colour code by myself. These days people are very lazy (me) online, they need instant and clear orientation.

I love this site. I think the nav is awesome, but the rest of the world that is still trying to learn how to use the internet might not get it.
- Mojo0
Nice job. How did you structure it flash-wise?
*decompiles* (joke)

Hey Bruised Blood my mate has just left Fingal.... was there some kind of exodus when you got bought over?
p.s Nice site

Nice work, I only have one question: why is the vertical scroll bar appearing in my the browser, when there is nothing to scroll to?
- case20000
very nice - colors especially
I too didn't click the color coding strips...
I would make the sliding transitions a little faster.
and why do we start on the middle image? (and not the far left?) seemed strange to have to retrace my steps to see all the images in a set.
- fyoucher10
rilly niice. Navigation is too much tho. Needs to be easier and should be able to get to what you want quicker.
- kerus0
i like it a lot but agree with the navigation issues
less is more... unless its not enough, which might be the case
