I have a nice one, actually - the only thing I've bought from Ikea (except for some faery lights when I was at uni) that I'm actually really happy with.

Do you use the pain of glass alot?Dancer - Twice in 14 months, though I'm glad it's there (I'd use it more if this place was a little less chaotic...).detritus
- the only problem is that it is on the right – where my mouse goes. and I hate mouse matsDancer
- On the 'bad' side - you have to let it get quite dirty if you want to use an optical mouse directly (I use an A3 cut mat)detritus
- It's big enough to the left of glass to have my two monitors, keyboard and A3 mat.detritus

honestly, if i had not scored on the HM desk i currently have, I *love* using a solid door laid over two saw-horses.
- wide
- inexpensive
- solid/sturdy as hell
- even has a built-in 'cable collector' in the door knob cut-outget's my vote. used several.
- Nice. I have a very strong Barn door that I have been looking to strip... so ya never knowDancer
- seriously dude. do it. use these (or the like): http://www.stanleyto…madirish

Glass desks are not as cool as you might think. They are masters of being dirty.
- could not agree more. loathe glass desks.madirish
- And you spend all day staring at your own crotch.detritus
- Yeah, I had a glass desk and it pissed me off.Jnr_Madison
