I'm sending my resume just to see what happens....
what do you think they pay a producer in boulder?
- thenuge0
not enough to live there
- tgqt0
Boulder is not that expensive, unless you plan on buying a house.
- tgqt0
when you say whopper juice are you referencing the Burger King product or the Malted Milk balls?

I had a nice one bedroom in boulder that ran for $850

Unless you like skiing 365 days a year what "creative" is going to want to live in the middle of nowhere, like Boulder. My guess is that they are having difficulties attracting and retaining talent.

yeah, i have a few friends that worked at the office in miami and it was the same results. They pretty much lived at the office and never saw the light of day.

I have a few friends still there. I hear their travel expenditures for moving staff and clients back and forth from NY to Boulder, and LA to Boulder are staggering. All because someone wants to snowboard.

i got an offer from them not too long ago via my linkedin profile. i forget the guys name but he got in touch with me through there. seemed like a really cool guy.
- I think i told you the sandwich shop story via email, right?harlequino
- YES! hahahah. totally forgot about that.kona

They flew me out last August. The CD of interactive kept yawning and the other people I interviewed with kept making snide comments about their own work ethic - I said fuck it and thanks for the 2 day vacation to Boulder. Pay was shit too.

i think all the creatives are pissed and eventually quit because figured out that when they work their ass off and do award winning work that Bugusky ends up getting the award and putting in his name on it.

two college friends of mine work there, i hear they have no personal lives, or at best limited ones. but they do somewhat cool projects, i guess people probably get tired of it all and move to the city.

I think they have a hard time finding talent out there in Colorado, but that's my guess.
- tgqt0
I think that they originally moved people there to fill jobs. I have worked in Boulder and always found 'more than enough' talented people in the denver / boulder area.

My wife worked there. Hard time keeping anyone.

lets get one thing clear here:
working 20h a day is not a culture, its slavelabour.
No job is worth this.
I also did these crazy hours, but you actually don't produre better work. i still work a lot, but there is a limit.
It seems like the fella's at Crispin,... are just taking advantage of creatives who think its a privilige to work for them, wich actually the other way around, because you are doing the work,
they should be thankfull for that and respect this buy giving people some more free time.

how someone become a producer and what does a producer do? I've worked with them before but I still can't discern what it is they do.
