two college friends of mine work there, i hear they have no personal lives, or at best limited ones. but they do somewhat cool projects, i guess people probably get tired of it all and move to the city.

i have a few friends who have worked there. DO. NOT. DO. IT. ha. they definitely make good work but (like others have said) at the expense of a personal life. also, often their "good work" isn't even done in house but rather by outsourced interactive agencies etc... subservient chicken was made by the barbarian group for example.

there some talented people in boulder/denver but not a ton. I've been contacted by several recruiters for CP+B but am prett comfy where I am. Might go interview just to see whats what.

yeah, i have a few friends that worked at the office in miami and it was the same results. They pretty much lived at the office and never saw the light of day.

lets get one thing clear here:
working 20h a day is not a culture, its slavelabour.
No job is worth this.
I also did these crazy hours, but you actually don't produre better work. i still work a lot, but there is a limit.
It seems like the fella's at Crispin,... are just taking advantage of creatives who think its a privilige to work for them, wich actually the other way around, because you are doing the work,
they should be thankfull for that and respect this buy giving people some more free time.

how someone become a producer and what does a producer do? I've worked with them before but I still can't discern what it is they do.

According to those I know there, a large part of the reason CP+B is the way it is, has to do with how they grew. They're only about 10-15 years old as an agency, and only been well known and "hot" the last 5 or so.
They went from being 30 people to being 700 in a couple years. The heads of departments have little to no agency experience outside of CP+B.
