With the larger than large democratic turnout, I think that Obama's 46% could take out McCain.

Your electoral process is really a mystery to me. I don't understand how the Dems can be happy about putting pins on each other's chair whilst on the other side there's one single man cashing in on a traditional 50/50 electorate. Truth, I never looked more deeply into the US electoral process - but fuck me if it doesn't that doesn't looks weird from a common pov. Who the hell votes in the primaries and why? And who votes in second, since there are delegates who were voted? Pretty baffling for a common soul like mine be.
- that, my friend, plus the electoral college, and having only 2 viable parties is what is wrong w/ US politics.flashbender
- honestly, wasn't Q the validity of the process - but it's sure complicated, since we (all registered citizens) vote ...Corvo
- ... directly to a party. I mean, candidates are chosen by intra-party votation. It's different.Corvo
- Your system seems somewhat better, though, although much more complicated and prone to external influences.Corvo
- God damned, democracy sure needs some information architecture and a bit of better design workflow.Corvo
- prone to external influence it sure is. It could be a lot betterflashbender
- there are pros and cons in each system. unfortunately, politicians don't care about this too much.Corvo
- true. I could fix the problem, but I am terribly unmotivated.flashbender
