Forgot to mention there are going to be 40 of the fucking things, all with different product photos and logos etc... not that that should influence your decision I shouldn't think...
Oh yeah, finished size is 300mm x 1200mm.
- But it does, IT DOES... my choice was made on that picture being in the box.Spookytim

Three.
Rectangle is correct shape for object being framed. Also, frame on One looks too tight and frame on two lets in too much dead space. My only comment would be that on three, the round corners of the logo box are (optically at least) bigger than the curves on the picture box, and they should be about 50% of the radius of the bigger box at least.
- Am I the only one with the correct answer then?Spookytim

#2, because the human eye loves round things.

being that its product of the year n' all, I'd go with 2 (more product)

i prefer 2 - more versatile in terms of space for other products...

Spookytim - Not all the images will be a that shallow and that wide - but I see your point with the dead space.
Wouldn't have thought about the curves on the picture boxes, good call on that :)

2. round corner box takes all the dynamism out of the product display in 3; circles better reflect the "light rays" which frame the design and for me give the whole thing more of a focal point. Its not perfect yet in terms of the sizing of elements, but I like the way it breaks the edge, makes it less static than the other 2.

2 for me, makes the product stand out more...
