Hey guys just thought you might want to check this out. It is a site I just finished designing to showcase 4th year art and design projects at my school.
Cheers!

Thats cool I can see that but let me explain. The dots are a secondary navigation to show the growth of the site.
The dots at the top of the page represent students that have registered for OCAD Archive. As the site grows and more people register the circles will begin to construct the logo. The color of the circle represents the program enrollment as well as signifying that a recent update has been made to that portfolio. Over a week the color of each circle will fade to white and will stop moving if updates are not made. So each year at this time the circles will become active as new students begin adding work, showing visually the activity on the site.

If you would like to see what the logo will do when the site is fully populated visit this link.

I generally rag & rant on... about blog styled themes, however this design actually looks and functions well.
Nice job Garus:)

its a poor man's version of
http://designarchives.aiga.org/
http://www.adcn.nl/bekroningen20…It lacks clear information design.
- I am a student so thats where the poor part comes in ahahaha. How could the information design be better? could you clarify your statement. Those other sites are nice by the way, but I think they probably had more then 2 people working on them in their free time. So I am not sure it is a fair comparison. However I can see how they are better.Garus
