#6
image fits type best in this one.but if you choose another typeface, things may change..

I like the symbols used in #5 and #6.
However I am not feeling the typeface in either, the font does not say energy consulting company or a fortune 500 company to me.

1 and 2 have too many nuclear connotations, not sure if it's a purely nuclear energy consultancy.
As has been said already, 3 is too BP for comfort.
4 looks a bit 80s but I like the idea of the grid.
5 looks a bit like a sherif's badge.I actually really like 6, it's simple, has meaning and looks good and doesn't look to corporate power company, it's a bit different from other companies in the field which I like.
Either way, I commend you for not going down the road of shiny, bubbly web2.0 aesthetic or the BT cloud of amorphous blobs etc

Great stuff. I like 2

Thanks for all the comments everyone. To answer a few of questions: I am indeed using Archer - it's so nice! This particular energy consultancy helps businesses with things like Deregulated Procurement, Expense Recovery, Renewable Energy Credit (REC) Procurement & Carbon Auditing, etc. All if which are way over my head. Their core values are Clarity, Accuracy, Transparency, and Integrity.

6 is good... i too agree it looks like it says 'orifice'

I really like no. 6, probably because it has meaning and relevance. If your client asked to see a lyre, chances are that's what they'll go for anyway.
I'm not sure if any of the line gradients of the earlier ones would translate well to everyday use.

I agree about 6 - the graphics are nice in some of teh others but I don't really see what they are saying about the company unless they are all about the radioactivity. develop the 6th one a bit.

I really like 1 & 2. not loving the serifs though.

they get worwse as they go down

Energy seems sans-serif to me.

I'm throwing my vote in to push #6 a little further. The rest seem a bit generic (i know this because I created 5 a few days ago when doing sketches for a logo). Also you should really push them to use "Orpheus", why use a spelling that is so easily mistaken for orifice?

I'm not loving the type weights. 1 feels too light and 2 feels too heavy. The rounded serif on the "s" is bugging me. Since the other letters do not have that quality it feels off. I like the shape of the symbol of 5. Maybe it could be simplified a bit.

I'm a huge fan of 2 and 3. Particularly 3 - i like how the circle in the middle of the design is similar to the 'O'
- 2pence0
- yeah... a little worried about that.ian00

only problem with the 3rd one is similarity to the BP logo
- I might be able to tackle that in how color is worked in. definitely an issue to deal with though.ian00

5 seems the most practical and most relevant to their service
