Does anyone else have this problem?
Everytime I get drunk I become the nicest guy in the world. Except to my loving wife, to whom I become a classic Alabama wife beater (without the physical contact). I'm so mean for no reason and it usually gets to the point where she has to get picked up. Then I drink some more.
I wish I could help it.

I guess you know what your drinking limit is (before getting mean). So don't trespass it.

If you are an angry drunk, That means your out of control. If your out of control that's generally because you are a drunk, because one doesn't put themselves in positions where there angry at those they love. Simple math, get help. Quit cold turkey, some people should not drink.

sorry i have no kind or sympathetic words.
seek some professional help, not faceless internet forums.
or leave your wife before you destroy her (and yourself).

i've been like that before. it's usually when i've been getting completely trashed for a few days in a row. time to dry out for a few days when that happens, otherwise the self-loathing alcohol guilts the next day are just unbearable.
good luck!

thanks horton, i think my wife and myself will be fine
and i'm not seeking help from this post.. just thought it would be funny to share drunken habits
it's not like i choke my wife out.. i just like to push her buttons when i'm drunk.. to the point of really pissing her off.. and that's mean
no need to call the battered women hotline
