I have CS2 (edcuation version) for the PC, but I just got a mac and I want CS2 or CS3.
I don't want to rip it off, but they won't let me sell my copy of CS2 on Ebay. Is there anyway around this? Being a student 500 for CS3 is expensive, and CS2 is still selling for 2-300...anyone have any ideas, or want to trade?

you're a student... education versions are meant for the schools not students.. you're not supposed to buy every software they teach you. just torrent it.

Adobe's a bunch of cocks for selling separate versions for PC/Mac.

only torrent with the intent of buying the boxed copy wan day though!
it's like this its a tool that helps yah get yer job done and out there, a carpenter has to buy all his tools so why shouldn't you do same?

personally, and i think this is what the software companies secretly think too, is that allowing for a realistic amount of sharing creates a solid, experienced and knowledgable user base that will one day maybe hopefully probably buy it themselves and work for a company who does pay for it . it also ultimatly adds to the general exposure of the product by these people going to web forums and talking about it etc. Subsequently a large and loyal bunch of potential paying customers is created and that's not a bad thing.
- in other words don't think you're a criminal you didn't acutally or literally 'steal' anything to begin with.molo

i asked an adobe rep why is it so easy to steal your guys software.
he laughed and said "people who steal wouldn't pay for it in the first place. making it easy to rip-off gave us a giant market footprint which ensured our success. if we wanted too we could make it impossible to steal - but then someone else would start muscling in on our market share"
good point
