It's about half way dark now... excellent clear, cold winter's sky.

Stayed awake this far (2.30 AM here). Moon was visible 1 hr ago with scattered clouds. Now it's all cloudy and it's starting to rain. Meh. Off to bed. Good sightings is my wish to you, sir. Cheers.

Yeah, it's beautiful here (Ann Arbor, MI). And you can see Saturn right near the moon now, too.
I showed my 6 year old daughter. She thought it was neat, and went back to practicing her cartwheels.

It should be visible across most of Canada, apparently.
I was going to go outside (can't see it from inside my house right now), but it's damn cold...- It's worth throwing your coat on for! You only have to go out about 5 feet to see it.AndyRoss
- I know, I know. I'm not as geeky as I used to be...Jaline
- Haha! Well, that's some relief!
AndyRoss - I'm still into it though. I need a telescope and warmer weather. And then I need to rip through my window ;)Jaline

cloudy tonight in nashville. sigh

One of the things that's been beautiful tonight has been how the eclipse has helped reveal the dimensionality of the moon!
Looking at the moon during the partial eclipse, and later, the full eclipse, has really made the moon look like a sphere, rather than merely a disk. It's a sphere, not just a disk!!

I noticed the same thing. I also enjoyed seeing it sitting in the 'bed of stars' that you normally cannot see. Since its reflection was subdued, and through my binoculars, the color, the sphere shape as you said, and sitting 'out there' really made it seem different.

it was pretty badass in minneapolis as a_iver stated.
cold as dry ice, so it made it nice and clear.
