You might check these out if you're looking for a stand. I saw them in a mac forum and might get one for myself once I"ve gotten an MPB:

Does anyone remember a super slim stand/dock for mbp's that was made out of aluminum? The one that docked them closed and vertically for use with another display and keyboard?

- No thats not it. It held the laptop vertically, and closed up. So it ended up looking like a super slim tower.JackRyan
- oh...haven't seen that one.subimage
- might have been good if i actually read your message first huh...hahahasubimage
- I thought I saw it on Core77, but now I don't see it anywhere.JackRyan

Macbook Pro Duo2, 24" Dell LCD, Griffin stand, Lacie 500GB external.

Ahh setups all look so nice. Right now I'm running the black macbook, 2ghz/2mb ram and a 320 internal (yeah 320) with a wireless mighty mouse and 19" hanns g external, but I want a griffin elevator, 500gb/1tb external and a keyboard. I'm thinking wired aluminum wouldn't be bad... Anyone have wire problems?

The thing about a desktop is, macbook pros, and even macbooks are becoming more and more viable options as a desktop, depending on how you connect it. Obviously a 15" or 13" monitor is not enough, but it has the processing power now to be a very viable option as far as a desktop machine goes... Plus you can take it with you!
Nothing against Mac Pro's though... I'd love one.
