I actually calculated a vacation in Canada once - it's not finished, but here it goes: I would land in Portland, take a coffee and a pee, with all due respect, greet folks there, then hire a car and drive up to Seattle and cruise a wee bit around the State for good volcanoes. Then I would return to Seatlle, take another coffee and another pee (with all due respect), ditch the Portland auto and get a train up to Vancouver. There I would change for the first time and the last in this journey, because a man is just not some paranoid freak like the likes you have in cities right now. Then I would get another car and drive to Winnipeg (I have a thing about Winnipeg) and then I would call Jaline to meet me there for a nice luncheon. As she would say "No I can't go to Winniped right now", I would return the car and get a horse (although I'm not sure there are horses in Canada); then I would ride till the sunset and cross the Canadian Rockies. And my vacations ends in the Canadian Rockies. Then I would call my embassy because I'm pretty fucked but they wouldn't give a cold shit. And that's my vacation plan so far.
- lol, you're right that I wouldn't go to Winnipeg. I went there once...Jaline
- By the way, you better come by to Ontario. It's close to Manitoba.Jaline
- ok this is just a sketch! many details need to be assessed and all. I like comps. :PCorvo
- Anyway, I thought Winnipegers were cool.Corvo
- They are cool. But you gotta go to some bigger cities, like Toronto.Jaline

again, vancouver.
you can be shopping boutiques downtown, and 20-30 minutes later be on a skyride gondola up those mountains in czawada's linked pic... no hiking necessary.
how's that for convenience

You should consider checking out Osoyoos. Its about a 3 hour drive from east of Vancouver and is considered Canada's Sunniest City. Huge orchards, tons of wineries and loads of beautiful places to stay on the beach.
Another place that I really get a kick out of is Tofinno and Long Beach on Vancouver Island. I love beach combing and hiking :)

You should come to montreal. Vancouver is a great place too...
Toronto is boring. And I've seen some action in ottawa couple of years ago, like bum fights and stuff, but the bars close too early for me.montreal is a great great place to visit, there is a ton of stuff to do, and for the outside action, youre an hour and half from the mountains (surely they dont compete with the West of Canada but they are acceptable)
The night life is awesome too, tons of shows and so on...

Cool, Cool... thanks for all the responses. We're kinda switching our gears a bit and are now considering England... possibly London... as an option. So, it's kinda a toss up between the two.

vancouver is fun....drove up there from seattle once. the people are nice, lots of cute girls. had a blast painting on shit, getting drunk, and smoking hash in the streets.
