simple, clean, not bad... the "What I do and What I've done" type needs work, ie, kerning meaning - needs to be opened up...

hi, thanks. finally - i hope - i got something ease to manage. The page is based on a simple UL list, all inline and randomly ordered. Also i use the shadowbox library to display the linked files. jQuery is there to slide the reel and do more with less.

Maybe you should split out your experiments and flash tests from the actual client work...

Also, you don't really need this:
Don’t get confused, this is not a showcase of all the work I've ever done. It is a randomly-ordered set of the most significant projects and ideas I've worked on since year 2000.

    Cool though.

    • ok, thank you William. I'll remove that ;-)GCM1/2
yes i agree with this comment. It can easily come off a bit harsh.mightyj2/2

clean and neat. I like it.
I possibly add 2 lines of description for each project and maybe your role on it and not just the tech things.

    Ottimo lavoro!

    Grazie! ;-)
I think i'll add one pair of checkboxes to filter the projects.
On page load "see all" will be flagged, then we'll have videos, flash experiments, client works...
it should be easy, with jQuery. Something like $("span").contains("flash") should point directly to the elemenst with the word flash contained in it...
as soon as i got 10 minutes i'll spot at it.
    Ciao

This is an anal detail but I'd refrain from using the term "random display". Looks great though. Nice job.

"Don’t get confused, this is not a showcase of all the work I've ever done."

Personally, I'd word that differently as not to alienate clients.. it sounds a bit off to me.

"What I do, and what I've done"...maybe it is my time spent as a copywriter, but I'm not sure if this choice of words is serving you so well. It's not hugely original and it doesn't even really describe what I see on the page, because you don't describe what it is you do very prominently.

Javascript and reflections on the thumbnails are nice. I'd consider playing with the layout a little bit more. Would the text look better further up the page or underneath the work? Somehow it feels not quite there...

Nice work. I do not like the heavy handed pop-up window, already looks old school, make it look more elegant and it will be a winner.

    • this is a modal window called shadowbox, try googling for it. technically it is the most advanced modal window you can find, if not for it's tricky mechanism on finding automatically 'how' to open your links (eg: flash, quicktime, jpg etc)GCM1/2
