yeah but when you look at chicagos layout, i mean, its just so uninspired. its all based on a grid and all the buildings are made out of the same materials. OH and its on the water, what a novel idea. so are a lot of cities. its just when i see something like this its just like how do urban planners get away with this? its god awful.

i moved here about five months ago and really like it so far. Livability, culture and fun are all tops. Not sure about prettiness. It's a handsome city.
I hear wonderful things about Portland, never been there.

PDX Rocks. Recent boom in all kinds of things. Growing and growing. Chicago is dope as well. Bigger, faster, harder.
Portland, smoked out, slower, prettier, cleaner.

Chicago rocks!!! i am from Philly I travel there at least twice a year. It is clean, beautiful architecture, great museums/bars/clubs/cafe and food. The people are nice, their sports team win championships. Great culture, & arts/music scene. The woman are also pretty hot. Portland lacks culture and rain too fuckin' much...
- Uh, what? Are you sure you went to Chicago, IL? Besides the Sox winning in 2006, it's been a long time for all teams.mg33
