Charging for Google Analytics

Question: Is it in any way unethical to charge a client for integrating Google Analytics into their Flash site and "hosting" their site in my Google Analytics account? I will set it all up and provide support and setup automated emailing of reports for them, then just be around to answer any questions they have. I'll also have to create a Google email account in order to deliver them a login, and that's where the process starts to feel kind of odd. I'm creating a free email account for them to login to a free service. Is the setup and support really something I should be charging for? Or just not charging very much for (I was thinking $500 for the whole deal). This is for a small architectural firm in the Chicago area.

charge for the number of hours it takes you do this thing?

What emo said. Hourly rate times how much it costs to do the actual work of the integration.
Then the next ethical conundrum are future clients you can set this up for since the first client is paying for all the R&D.

yes, charge for your time. That is billable, billing for the use of a free service is not.

ABSOLUTELY!
Just because the software is free, the integration (e.g. your time, skill, knowledge and maintenance) is NOT. I assume you're a consultant and you're providing a valuable service to clients who has neither the skillset, time or inclination to do this for themselves.
Open source may be "free", but your ability to provide a solution is extremely valuable. Don't be afraid to demand fair compensation for it.

Thanks those are good responses. I think I just needed confirmation from someone else in the world. I haven't really ever talked to anyone about it and never heard of anyone doing it.

html is free, do you charge for that?

I say it comes with the site anyway.

Can they do it without you? no... then they need to buy your skills.
