Internet Trailer
looks good .... looking forward to this

I do not like scary movies, but the trailer I saw looked pretty neat.

I'm pretty sure this is a ripoff of an old time radio halloween show about a mist that turns people inside out.

(Nov 6 07, 09:15)Don't think so, but that's a better idea actually.

This is one of my favorite Stephen King stories (from the Skeleton Crew collection). I'm looking forward to it.
It's not a ripoff and the mist doesn't turn people inside out.

The trailers make it look like a made for tv mini-series

Looked good until the part with the woman poking bat/imp/griffin type screechy creatures.
Another Stephen King movie fucking ruined because the studios think people want CGI instead of story.

from the guy that brought you Shawshank Redemption
CGI instead of story ... I doesn't look like it to me

I don't remember the characters 'seeing' anything in this story, it was always hidden in the mist. Maybe I'm mistaken though, it's been a while.
In this movie you do 'see' things and they look shite.

I remember an old Stephen King short story about an airplane landing at an airport in a mist and everyone dying..is that what this is based on?
Besides, King is a fucking wanker. I despise him as an author. Boring characters, ethical, moral plots that lead in straight lines...wanker*. Clive Barker owned his ass all through the 90's. Then I stopped reading horror.
*All though I'll spot him "Dead Zone"...

In the short they see a flying creature when it splatters against the grocery store window, and they see spider-like things in the mist (12 legs as I recall).
I haven't seen his prison movies, but his scary/fantasy movies always turn out to be garbage. That said I've been looking forward to a movie version of this since I read the short 15 years ago.

I had a horse named Misty.

The spider things make sense because in the trailer on TV there is a brief shot of cars (I think) being covered in cobwebs on the inside.
Not normal cobwebs, maximum overdrive cobwebs.
+1 p5 for that reference.
- 5timuli0
TBO, I think you're referring to The Langoliers. It was the one with people being stuck in yesterday.
It was shite too.
- i_monk0
not high-octane ultra cobwebs?

The trailer looks pretty good.

God, he sucks.

new trailer strategy:
use 'death is the road to awe' from 'the fountain' to make trailer look badass.case in point:
