Yesterday the floor sales person at the apple store told me not to get a iMac, and to get a mac book pro, or mac pro instead.. he said the iMac doesn't run well with Abode Illustrator/Photoshop... I thought that wasn't true since I worked on an iMac b4, but that was last year...
I just wanted to double check is this guy trying to make a sell on me??thanks

worst than that, CS3 is installed on the iMacs on display...

it's just a cheap shot at upselling you. similar situation came up when i asked about a sound system to play mp3s stored on an iphone. he said if i left the ring on it would blow the speakers.
you'd expect a little more integrity from them but they're just sleazy sales people for the most part.

i have a mac book pro, and at the office i have a iMac.
the differences are at work i can see more work at once and at home i can do work on my bed.
get the puter that suits your needs.

tell 'em you'll take it if they give you the 'genius' discount.
if they shrug or question it, shrug back and say 'so, i'm assuming the imacs are in the back and you can just bring one up to the front for me? k thanks.'

tell him you're Steve Jobs' nephew..
works like a charm!

I don't really see why that would matter. only thing I can think of is the glossy screen? but that's user prefs.
I'm thinking it's an upsell attempt, but would love to hear a real reason.
