does anyone have one or have experience using one?
i'm interested in buying one to further my recent photography hobby bug, but at $1100, i really have no idea what lens length i would be interested in
seems i can choose from 24mm, 45mm, or 90mm.
any opinions?

What kind of camera are u going to use it with?

main useage is for
a) selective focus (tilt)
b) perspective correction (shift)both are things that can be done in photoshop....

it will be on a canon 30d.
here's what I'm mulling over:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/…also, i'm not concerned with faking any of the effects, buying the lens should inspire me to take more pictures, not spend more time staring at photoshop
- linearch0
they are mainly used in architectural and interior photography at wide angles to correct distortion. i'd get the 24.
- Daro0
perspective correction in photoshop never comes out quite right.
The tilt shit lens does help a lot especially when shooting tall structures.
- Daro0
what linearch said.
24mm should do it.

That's why many architectural photographers still use view cameras. Same idea with these lenses.

also, does anyone know of any links of actual tilt shift photography?
all of my google efforts are resulting in the faked images
- version30
i shoot photography for some real estate firms with my wide angle 10mm-22mm for making small spaces look large, as long as i'm level those pics come out looking fine.
i'm more into the tilt option than the shift for the tight selective focus

(Sep 17 07, 13:07)most of those are fakes
- Sickman0
let me rephrase
fakes unless they are using a 4x5 view camera
- version30
i try to distinguish fakes from real as the DoF runs side to side in a uniform line, not many people are taking the time to fake them all that well, i remember a thread when we were all faking aerial photographs to look mini
i'm new to the idea so i don't claim to actually know. i'd rather just have my own photos and know for sure.
thanks for all the input and links everyone
