a.k.a. the walking ego.

(Sep 17 07, 00:37)I wouldn't label MCP as egotistic at all. If anything he comes across as quite awkward with the fame side of things.

hmmm, not sure if I'm digging this site too much to be honest. I too preferred the last one, it seemed to fit with his work a bit better. Still, nice to be able to trawl through his stuff.

it's better than the Wee Planets...

I think everyone is intitled to their opinion on this! I hate the way people jump to hate mode, especially because they think Build might be reading!

I was referring to this...
some people do JS, and some more clever ones do AS3.
Not that clever doing AS3, as not as many people would be able to view it.

I didn't mean you James, reffering more to this... (unnecessary)
well not everyone can capture the brazilian essence in their site like u eh jozzy

Thanks for all the good and bad comments. It's all down to Marc, Tommi [Digital Club] & Pierre [Electronest] really, we were just the whinging client on this one!

I love me some Build, from the time I spent on the werburo forum, he always seemed to be a really down-to-earth fellow looking to help out when asked.
I could be wrong, but to me, him and Matt Pyke WERE the TDR that I adored in my art school days so I'll always have a lot of respect for him on that token alone...
Since then he's done some brilliant work, some mediocre, but ffs, this guy is in the limelight for doing what he does. He's not a mega-promoter like some of these 'new-media design stars'
Love it or hate it, to each his own.. clearly some here have beef that goes well beyond the realm of taste...

Well said, neue.
I liked the lo-tec honesty of Build's Gedel site, with photos of print production accompanying jobs.
At the end of the day it's a showcase for printed material, not new media. The new site does that well.

It does prove though that interaction design throws a whole load of new spanners into presenting something creatively... for a long time 'new media' was thought of something 'my nephew does' and not valued because there is nothing tangible (its just a load of 0's and 1's)
But the more I've worked with graphic designers, the more I've seen them come to appreciate the complexities, some really embrace it, others think its 'your problem'
Either way it is always interesting, but those who take hold of it get more out of it.
